Friday 24th October 2014 Fullcircle embraced the colour pink! The team based in Cwmbran, South Wales organised a day filled with sparkly pink cow boy hats, spotty pink onesies, ribbons in hair and big curly pink wigs; even the men got involved, modelling pink shirts, ties and even dressing gowns and pyjamas; all in support of Breast Cancer awareness.
Alongside work in the Call Centre and Offices events were organised to raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign. However, the seriousness behind the cause was not forgotten. A leaflet was compiled and sent to staff members explaining how to check yourself; one employee who is a cancer survivor, explained her own story and how regularly checking saved her life.
Laura Moss, Head of Services & Delivery stated “raising money for charity is fantastic, but it is also important to be educational about these topics to create awareness. It can be an awkward and difficult subject to discuss, but hearing stories from colleagues who are willing to speak out to help other people really opens your eyes to the seriousness of cancer”.
After calculating together all the money from the bake sale, fancy dress and raffle, Fullcircle employees raised a total of £502.94.
